Description

We are looking for a Business Analyst with strong exposure to Government sector projects and hands-on experience in IT-enabled transformation initiatives. The role requires working closely with government officials, multiple stakeholders, understanding domain requirements, and translating them into actionable functional specifications while supporting / coordinating with technical teams to design, implement, and optimize IT-enabled systems .

 

What You’ll Do

 

• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical/implementation teams, ensuring clarity of requirements and alignment with project goals.

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, functional specifications, and process workflows.

• Work on Government / Public Sector projects (e.g., health, rural development, social welfare systems) and understand policy-driven requirements.

• Support IT-enabled transformation initiatives, including system implementation, digitization, and process automation.

• Prepare detailed BRDs, FRDs, SRS documents, use cases, and user stories.

• Conduct stakeholder meetings, workshops, and requirement validation sessions.

• Assist in UAT (User Acceptance Testing), including test case preparation and defect tracking.

• Monitor project progress and prepare status reports, dashboards, and MIS reports for internal and external stakeholders.

• Identify gaps, risks, and improvement areas in existing systems and processes.

• Ensure compliance with government guidelines, standards, and reporting frameworks.

• Coordinate with implementation agencies (NIC / System Integrators / IT Partners)

 

Required Skills & Competencies

✔ Strong understanding of Business Analysis methodologies and tools

✔ Hands-on exposure to IT systems, SDLC, and implementation processes

✔ Proficiency in documentation and reporting tools
(MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Visio / Lucidchart preferred)

✔ Good understanding of data analysis and reporting
(SQL knowledge preferred)

✔ Ability to create clear reports, dashboards, and presentations for decision-making

✔ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

✔ Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability

 

Work Details

· Work Mode: Onsite (Ranchi)
· Annual CTC: ₹7.8 LPA – ₹9.6 LPA

 

Preferred Qualifications

· MBA / PGDM

· MCA

· B.Tech / M.Tech (Computer Science / IT)

· M.Sc (IT / Computer Science / Data Analytics)

· Master’s in Economics / Statistics / Public Administration

Added Advantage:
Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP / CCBA) or Agile / Scrum (Optional)

• Experience working with database-driven applications will be beneficial.

 

Experience Required

·Minimum 5+ years of relevant professional experience

·Prior experience working with Government Sector projects is mandatory

·Experience with NIC / Government IT implementation agencies will be an added advantage
