Software & Mobile App Tester (QA)

We are looking for a Software & Mobile App Tester (QA) who will be responsible for testing our web-based software, portals, dashboards, mobile applications and APIs to ensure that all functionalities work correctly, smoothly and as per defined requirements.

The candidate should be able to identify bugs, functional gaps, UI/UX issues and data-related errors before the software/app is released to users.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end testing of web applications, software portals and Android/iOS mobile applications.

• Understand requirements, workflows and business logic before starting testing.

• Prepare and execute test cases, test scenarios and checklists for different modules.

• Perform Functional Testing, Regression Testing, Integration Testing, UI/UX Testing, Compatibility Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Verify forms, validations, calculations, reports, dashboards, filters, search, login/OTP, role-based access and approval workflows.

• Test applications on different devices, browsers, screen sizes and operating systems.

• Identify bugs/errors and document them clearly with steps to reproduce, screenshots/videos, expected result, actual result and severity/priority.

• Coordinate with developers for bug resolution and perform re-testing after fixes.

• Ensure that fixing one issue does not affect existing functionalities through regression testing.

• Verify API integrations and data flow between different modules/systems.

• Check data accuracy between database/application screens, reports and dashboards wherever required.

• Test application performance, responsiveness, usability and basic security-related validations.

• Maintain proper Bug Reports, Test Reports, UAT Reports and Release Testing Records.

• Conduct complete testing before every production release/update and provide QA sign-off/recommendation for release.

• Immediately report any critical, security, data-loss or production-impacting issue to the concerned team.

• Work closely with developers, project managers and users to ensure that the final product meets the approved requirements.

Required Skills

• Good understanding of Software Testing / QA concepts and SDLC/STLC.

• Strong knowledge of Manual Testing.

• Experience in testing Web Applications and Mobile Apps.

• Ability to prepare test cases and detailed bug reports.

• Knowledge of tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, Trello or similar bug-tracking tools.

• Basic understanding of API Testing using Postman.

• Basic knowledge of SQL/Database Testing will be preferred.

• Understanding of UAT, Regression Testing and Release Testing.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Good attention to detail and ability to identify even minor functional inconsistencies.

• Good written communication for reporting bugs clearly to developers.

Qualification & Experience

Qualification: B.Tech/B.E./BCA/MCA/B.Sc. IT/M.Sc. IT or equivalent qualification.

Experience: 1–2 years in Software/Application Testing preferred. Candidates with strong practical testing skills may also be considered.

We are looking for someone who does not simply check whether a screen is working, but can think from the end-user's perspective, identify possible failure scenarios and thoroughly test the complete workflow before release.
